Functions of Spotify

1. Canvas

With updates, Spotify not only adds new functions, and more buttons also regularly appear in the application. • Go to the ‘Home’ tab;
• Tap your profile photo at the top left;
• Go to ‘Settings and Privacy’;
• Choose ‘content and display’;
• Turn off the switch ‘Make button’.

3. Download via mobile data

Turning off canvas is an easy way to ensure that Spotify uses less mobile data. Do you want to save even more on your data bundle? Then you can also download songs or even complete albums via Spotify. This music is then on your iPhone (or other smartphone), so that you can also listen to Spotify offline. For example, Spotify does not use mobile data at all during your listening session.

In addition, you must be careful that these downloads do not happen via the mobile network. At the Settings of Spotify you can choose how all songs, albums and podcasts are stored. It is important to disable downloads via the mobile network, because otherwise you do use mobile data. Do you want to prevent you from having unexpectedly high mobile costs? Then turn the next function off in Spotify:

• Open ‘Spotify’;
• Go to the ‘Home’ tab;
• Tap your profile photo at the top left;
• Choose ‘Saving data and offline’;
• Turn off the switch behind ‘Download via mobile data’.
