Patent drawing Jeep Cherokee S electric Europe

Jeep will release three brand new electric models through 2025. Two of them are the Jeep Wagoneer S and the Recon, electric SUVs of which AutoWeek has got hold of the versions intended for the European market

Anyone who had said a few years ago that Jeep would sell fully electric cars would undoubtedly have been declared crazy by the Mopar guild. In 2023, the idea of an electric model with Jeep badges is not so strange anymore. In fact, Jeep already sells a compact electric crossover in the form of the Avenger. It just doesn’t stop with that one EV. In September last year, Jeep announced the arrival of four new EVs. The Avenger was one of them and so three remain. We can show you more of two of those three newcomers today.

In the database of the European patent office, AutoWeek has found patent drawings of the fully electric Wagoneer S that Jeep showed last year. The Jeep Wagoneer S seems to be an electric SUV that depends on the Jeep Wagoneer family in terms of naming, but which is still a considerable size smaller than the 5.45 meter long Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer and the even 5.76 meter long Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L. In fact, the electric Wagoneer S is probably even slightly smaller than the 4.92 meter Grand Cherokee (and therefore also the 5.2 meter long Grand Cherokee L).

Jeep Wagoneer S

Last year’s already quite production-ready looking Wagoneer S.

The electric Jeep Wagoneer S does not share a bolt, nut or screw with its aforementioned bigger brothers. The car will be on a version of one of the STLA platforms specially intended for EVs. The already very production-looking Wagoneer S that Jeep showed last year has a 600 hp powertrain and is able to sprint to a speed of 97 km / h (60 mph) in about 3.5 seconds. More interesting is the electric range of more than 640 kilometers that Jeep states.

Jeep Recon

This Jeep Recon is also coming to Europe.

What else does Jeep have up its sleeve in the EV field? Including the Recon, a rough-looking SUV, which, like the Wagoneer S, is also coming to Europe. The Jeep Recon seems to be a direct competitor of the Land Rover Defender. We also have patents registered in Europe for this model. The last unknown electric model Jeep will reveal through 2025 is likely to be an electric Wrangler or equivalent.
