Likely to be replaced

Volkswagen puts an end to various engine versions of the electric ID4. The Volkswagen ID5 has to do with one powertrain less. The deleted powertrains will not return, but Volkswagen will undoubtedly have new replacement power sources ready for it. The deleted ones can no longer be ordered new, but are still available from stock for the time being.
Volkswagen cuts two powertrains from the delivery range of the electric ID4. The model loses the ‘weakest’ variant, both motorically and battery-technically: the ID4 with 52 kWh battery and 148 hp electric motor. There is also a line through the model with 77-kWh battery pack and the electric motor of 174 hp. The Volkswagen importer confirms that these powertrains will not return. However, the officially deleted versions are still available from stock for the time being. The Volkswagen ID4 with 77 kWh battery and 204 hp electric motor and the ID4 GTX with the same 77 kWh battery but with two electric motors with 299 hp together will continue to exist. Furthermore, the 170-hp variant with the smaller 52-kWh battery will remain newly available.
Volkswagen also puts the scissors in the delivery range of the ID5, although that SUV only loses one power source. The ID5 – just like the ID4 – must now do without the variant with a 77-kWh battery and the 174 hp electric motor. The ID5 was never supplied with the 52-kWh battery in the Netherlands, so there will be less changes in the delivery range of this model. The 204 hp powerful ID5 and the 299 hp all-wheel drive GTX version remain. The officially deleted Volkswagen ID5 with 174-hp electric heart and the 77-kWh battery is also still available from stock.
The Dutch importer could not tell us whether other powertrains will soon replace the deleted power sources. In any case, we expect this to happen.
