To trust

The Chinese BYD is quite convinced of its own quality. At least that is apparent from the broader warranty conditions that the brand will use.
Concerns about quality can be one of the reasons not to go for a Chinese car yet. After all, in the past, Chinese manufacturers have sometimes proven that things were not really good in that area. BYD wants to alleviate such concerns by improving the warranty conditions.
Across the board (also for models yet to be introduced), the general manufacturer’s warranty goes from four/five years to six years and you get an eight-year warranty on the battery pack and the electric motor. BYD also guarantees that the usable battery capacity will decline by no more than 30 percent within that period. For the general warranty and the warranty for the electric motor, a maximum mileage of 150,000 km applies, which was 100,000 or 120,000 km. The warranty on the battery pack is limited to a maximum of 200,000 km. The longest warranty period applies to the body, which BYD gives a twelve-year warranty.
Do you already have a BYD in front of your door and are you disappointed that you have an even shorter warranty on it? That is not necessary, because according to BYD it applies retroactively to all cars delivered here.
