Volkswagen Polo now also with basic engine

Volkswagen is bringing back the absolute basic engine it has on the shelves to the Polo. From now on, the Volkswagen Polo can again be ordered with the 1.0 MPI power source. It is more expensive than before and the prices of the other engines are also increasing.

Just like the pre-facelift version, the refreshed Volkswagen Polo was included on the price list with an 80 hp turbo-free 1.0 MPI. That motorcycle version disappeared from the Dutch price list in mid-2022, but is now back. The Volkswagen Polo with 80 hp and 93 Nm strong 1.0 three-cylinder always has a five-speed manual gearbox, is only available as an unnamed basic version and costs at least €25,890. This makes it about €2,000 more expensive than before. With the basic Polo you can reach 100 km/h in 15.5 seconds and you should be able to reach a speed of 171 km/h.

The price gap between the Polo 1.0 MPI and the Polo positioned above it with the 95 hp 1.0 TSI remains somewhat intact. That version will also become more expensive – albeit to a lesser extent – just like all other engine versions. The Polo 1.0 TSI with five-speed manual gearbox is available as a basic version simply called Polo from €26,990. This makes it €850 more expensive than before. The Volkswagen Polo with this 95 hp 1.0 TSI is also available with a DSG7 automatic transmission and costs at least €30,690. The Polo with a 110 hp 1.0 TSI is only available with a DSG automatic transmission and is only available as an R-Line or R-Line Business. It costs at least €35,990. For the Polo GTI with 207 hp 2.0 TSI you pay €43,790.
