Just a little more patience and then Apple will present the new iPhones. At the last minute we learned something more about the iPhone 15. These are the last minute iPhone 15 (Pro) rumors!
Last minute iPhone 15 (Pro) rumors
Usually reliable Apple expert Mark Gurman has announced his latest expectations for Apple’s ‘Wonderlust’ event. These are all the last minute iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro rumors!
Titanium housing and rounded corners
Gurman says the iPhone 15 Pro (Max)’s new titanium casing makes it sturdier than the current version and about 10 percent lighter. In addition, this housing has a brushed look, in contrast to the shiny appearance of the current version.
In addition, the edges (where the front of the iPhone and the metal side meet) are more rounded. Mark Gurman also said that the screen on the Pro models appears a bit larger, as the black bezels around the screen have become a bit narrower.
New A17 chip
In addition, the A17 chip comes into play in the iPhone 15 (probably only in the Pro models). The main advantage of this chip is that it is more energy efficient. The iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max currently have a battery life of about 23 and 29 hours. The new chip can add some more time to that.
The current Pro models of the iPhone 14 have 6 GB of RAM. The new iPhones will probably also receive an upgrade in that area. The new ‘Action button’ will replace the mute button. From now on you can attach your own assignments to this button. For example, consider switching on a Focus, opening the flashlight or starting the camera app.
Improved camera
Furthermore, the telephoto lens and the ultra-wide angle of the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max have more megapixels than their predecessor. This will be the first time that these lenses will break the 12 megapixel barrier. Gurman also said that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will still be called the ‘Pro Max’. The name change to the iPhone 15 Ultra seems to have been canceled.
U2 chip is coming
Both the regular iPhone 15 and the Pro models get the new ‘U2’ ultra wideband chip. This is the first new version since the introduction of the U1 in the iPhone 11 Pro. The new chip is a lot better at location services and can therefore better track the location in the Find My app. Apparently this chip is coming to all new Apple products. Gurman also said the entire iPhone range will have faster wireless charging.
Upgrades for the iPhone 15 (Plus)
Finally, Gurman said that the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus will have the Dynamic Island. The A16 chip is coming and the 48-megapixel camera is making its way to the regular models. The 6x optical zoom is also expected on the iPhone 15 (Plus).
