Starting price Kia EV6 again below SEPP limit with new entry-level version

Kia is launching the Kia EV6 Light, the new entry-level version of the EV6 series. He pushes the equipment down and the starting price also drops, so that the car is again eligible for SEPP subsidy.

EV6s with a tax value of less than 45 grand – the limit for the SEPP subsidy of almost 3,000 euros – were there, but the former entry-level Air version now costs almost 49 grand. Don’t worry, because the solution comes in the form of the Kia EV6 Light. Compared to the Air, this version lacks blind spot assist, cross traffic assist, privacy glass and seat and steering wheel heating. The last two in particular are of course a shame, but then you score a double win. The Kia EV6 Light costs €43,495. Subtract the SEPP subsidy from that, and as a private individual you can get into a new EV6 for €40,545.

The Kia EV6 Light of course also has the simplest powertrain that Kia has for the EV6. It produces 170 hp and has a range of 394 kilometers from a 58 kWh battery.

EditionAdvanced

While private individuals are probably tempted by the EV6 Light, Kia has the EV6 Edition Advanced on offer for business drivers. It has the large 77.4 kWh battery, 229 hp and, according to Kia, offers a saving of 5,500 euros. Electrically adjustable front seats, seat heating all around, ambient lighting and ‘vegan leather’ are standard, as are extensive matrix LED headlights and additional safety systems. This version costs €50,995. That is indeed not much for an EV6 with the large battery, which costs at least €57,495 on the ‘normal’ price list.

Yesterday it was announced that the electric version of the Kia Niro is also on offer.
