If you want a large iPad, you will soon no longer have to buy a Pro. A large iPad Air is coming. You need to know this.
Big iPad Air on the way
Usually reliable Apple expert Ming-Chi Kuo says that Apple plans to release a whole new lineup of iPads next year. He adds that the two new versions of the iPad Air will receive the most attention.
Kuo also says that Apple will release a new 10.9-inch iPad Air and a newer, larger 12.9-inch iPad Air. Both iPads will have a new chip and are scheduled for release sometime in early 2024. So we don’t have to wait very long.
But why would you buy an iPad Pro when you can also go for a large iPad Air? According to Kuo, the 12.9-inch iPad Air will have an LCD screen (and not the mini LED of the iPad Pro).
It does have a better screen than the current 10.9-inch model of the Air, because Apple has made internal adjustments to the screen. In addition, the iPad Pro has things like ProMotion and other features that the iPad Air does not have.
Kuo also weighed in on the new iPad Pro. According to him, this will have an OLED screen and the new M3 chip. These iPads should be released sometime in the second quarter of 2024.
Which iPads will be the most affordable?
According to Kuo, the new iPad mini and the iPad 2024 (11th generation) will soon be the most affordable tablets. This also means that the 9th generation iPad will disappear. By the way, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman doesn’t entirely agree with Kuo. He hasn’t said anything about a bigger Air yet.
