Drive faster and charge faster
A new, improved version of the Zeekr 001 has been launched in China. In addition to some optical changes, the facelift mainly brings important news under the skin, such as 800 Volts and more power.
Have you seen him driving that Zeekr 001 yet? The impressive, Shooting Brake-like EV is the first Zeekr model that was also available in Europe, but that process has not been going on for very long. Yet it is already time for an update of the 001, at least in China. The car has been available there for some time and a facelift has now been officially announced, which we previously showed you on AutoWeek.nl. On the outside you can recognize the new version by the new bumpers, which again resemble those of the heavy Zeekr 001 FR.
This facelift-001 is emphatically not such a monster with 1,265 hp, but it does show more similarities with the FR. For example, the ‘normal’ 001 now also has an 800-volt on-board network in China, the consequences of which, according to Zeekr, are noticeable during charging. The 001 should do this faster than the current version (200 kW), although we do not know exactly how fast. It is clear that the car has considerably more power: the rear-wheel drive version goes from 200 to 310 kW (422 hp) and goes from 0 to 100 in 5.9 seconds, while it now takes 7.2 seconds.
The four-wheel drive does it even faster. With no less than 580 kW or 789 hp, it goes from 0 to 100 in 3.3 seconds, leaving hardly any room for FR-like wishes. Depending on the version, the driving range is between 675 and 750 kilometers, but that is according to the fairly flexible Chinese test cycle. European WLTP values ​​are still a matter of guesswork, and this also applies to prices and introduction dates for our continent.
