In a report, analyst Jeff Pu describes van Haitong International Securities his expectations for this year’s new iPhones. According to him, Apple plans to give the iPhone 16 Pro an A18 Pro chip. This chip excels in the use of AI (Artificial intelligence).
Apple plans to use artificial intelligence in different ways. Some of it will be dependent on the cloud, so to use these functions your iPhone must be connected to the internet. In addition, AI functions are also performed locally on the iPhone 16 Pro. So you can always use these functions.
This is not the first time that more information has leaked about the new AI capabilities of the A18 chip. It has previously been revealed that the A18 chip will have a large number of AI cores in the chip and that the Neural Engine will receive a significant upgrade. This Neural Engine accelerates machine learning tasks on the iPhone.

According to rumors, both the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Pro will have their own version of the A18 chip. The iPhone 15 has an A16 chip and the iPhone 15 Pro has an A17 Pro chip.
