Review Zens Office Charger Pro 3: stylish, sturdy and super fast

With the Zens Office Charger Pro 3 you can charge as many as three of your Apple devices at once. But how well does that work? We have tested the MagSafe standard for you!

Zens has released a wireless charger that allows you to charge three Apple devices at the same time. With the Zens Office Charger Pro 3 you can charge your iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch at the same time. The charger supports MagSafe, so you can easily click your iPhone onto the stand. You can then place the phone horizontally or vertically on the charger using magnets.

The Zens Office Charger Pro 3 from the Dutch company is therefore perfect for the new Standby mode in iOS 17. The wireless charger has a hefty price tag of 129.99 euros, but is the Zens charger worth it? And do all devices charge equally quickly? You can read that in this review.

Charger design

The design of the Zens Office Charger Pro 3 is immediately noticeable. The charger resembles a small tree, with branches on which you can hang the Apple Watch, AirPods and iPhone. The design of the charger is refreshing, because it is often an eyesore with MagSafe chargers. This is not the case with the Zens wireless charger, because it is a beautiful device with the matte black finish.

The only disturbing thing about the design is the white recess for the Apple Watch charger. A matte black layer on the Apple Watch charger really completed the design. A major advantage of the Zens Office Charger Pro 3 is the sturdy base, which makes the charger quite heavy. This means you don’t have to worry about the stand falling over when you detach the iPhone. We were able to take the phone off the charger without any problems, without having to support the standard.

A small disadvantage of the Zens Office Charger Pro 3 is the adjustability of the stand. The height of the charger cannot be adjusted and the MagSafe stand cannot be rotated. Especially if you use the charger at the office, it is sometimes useful to tilt the phone or adjust its height. That is not possible with the charger. On the other hand, the Zens stand is extremely sturdy due to the fixed parts.

Charge three devices at the same time

With the Zens Office Charger Pro 3 you have the option to charge three devices at once. The stand offers space for the Apple Watch, iPhone and AirPods. You must have the iPhone 12 or newer for this. You can charge the second and third generation AirPods and all generations of the AirPods Pro wirelessly with the Zens Charger. Zens uses the Qi2 standard, which is the successor to MagSafe. This makes wireless charging a lot faster.

The Zens Office Charger Pro 3 comes with a large adapter, but then you also get something. The adapter has a power of 45 watts and can therefore charge three devices simultaneously with a power of 15 watts. This means that no one device charges faster than the other. In practice this works perfectly, we noticed that you can easily charge three devices at the same time. The 45-watt adapter really adds value, especially with the support for Qi2. A small downside is that the aparter does not work with USB-C, but with the special cable supplied.

A disadvantage is that you have to pay close attention to where you place smaller devices on the wireless stand. With the MagSafe stand and the Apple Watch charger, the devices quickly click into place. If you place AirPods on the base of the Zens Office Charger Pro 3, we noticed that the charger sometimes no longer provided power. The AirPods were not in the right place, causing charging to stop. So pay attention to this, fortunately there was no problem with larger devices such as telephones.

Standby in iOS 17

An important addition to iOS 17 is the new Standby mode for the iPhone. The function turns your phone into an alarm clock, agenda or photo frame, provided the device is placed on the charger in a horizontal position. The Zens Office Charger Pro 3 is perfect for this, because you can click your iPhone to the stand both vertically and horizontally. In a horizontal position, Standby mode is then activated automatically.

For us, this is perhaps the most important reason to get the Zens Office Charger Pro. We think the wireless charger is a nice addition to a bedside table, but the stand also looks great on a desk. Due to the heavy base, we found it very easy to detach the iPhone from the wireless charger without the stand falling over. If you are still looking for a wireless charger for standby use, you are certainly in the right place with the Zens stand.

Zens Office Charger Pro 3 review: conclusion

The Zens Office Charger Pro 3 is an extremely beautiful and sturdy wireless charger that allows you to charge three devices at the same time without any problems. The included 45W adapter charges all devices at the same speed. You have to be careful that you place smaller devices such as AirPods exactly right on the base of the charger, which takes some effort in the beginning. The MagSafe and Apple Watch charger work very well due to the built-in magnets.

The wireless charger is perfect for the new Standby mode of iOS 17, which turns your iPhone into an alarm clock or photo frame. Due to the heavy base of the stand, the charger does not easily fall over when you detach the iPhone, which is useful if you charge multiple devices at the same time. The Zens Office Charger Pro 3 is on the pricey side at 129.99 euros, but you do get a wireless charger of extremely high quality.
