Apple has stopped selling these 15 products completely this fall

Apple introduced many new products this year, but this fall the company also discontinued 15 products completely. We have listed them for you.

Apple discontinued these 15 products this fall

Apple has had quite a busy fall, with a fairly packed event in September, an iPad mini 7 launch in mid-October, followed by a week of announcements at the end of the month.

But with all these new product announcements, a number of older products have also been discontinued, meaning they are no longer available in stores. Apple Store. Most products are still available in other places for the time being.

Apple has stopped selling these 15 products completely this fall

1. iPad mini 6

Apple introduced a new iPad mini in October that supports Apple Intelligence and is compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro. The new mini also solves the jelly scrolling problem of the iPad mini 6. It’s a relatively minor upgrade, but one that was much needed after a 3-year wait.

There isn’t really a good reason to buy an older generation iPad mini. But if you don’t care about Apple Intelligence, you can get the iPad mini 6 for $499.

2. Fine-woven covers

Apple introduced the highly controversial FineWoven cases at the same time as the iPhone 15 last year. It would be an environmentally friendly replacement for leather. It was intended to be a premium material that felt like fabric, but it completely missed the mark. The covers scratch far too easily and ultimately do not qualify as a premium product.

Apple seems to recognize this, because FineWoven iPhone cases no longer exist for iPhone 16 models. There are still FineWoven MagSafe wallets and Apple Watch straps. If you want to buy a FineWoven case for your iPhone 15, there are still offers available. However, given the quality, we do not recommend this.

3. M3 MacBook Pro

Apple unveiled the new MacBook Pro at the end of last month. Featuring M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chipsets, an upgrade to Thunderbolt 5 on higher-end models, RAM upgrades, Center Stage support and an option to configure your Mac with a nano-texture display.

You can currently buy an M3 MacBook Pro for Not available.

Mac mini M2 (Pro)

4. M2 Mac mini

Apple unveiled its biggest redesign of the Mac mini earlier this month, which is significantly smaller than the previous model. The RAM has also been expanded in this design: the M4 comes standard with 16 GB and the M4 Pro with 24 GB as standard. It is Apple’s most powerful desktop Mac.

You can buy the M4 Mac mini for €689. The outgoing model is currently available for €504.95. It’s better not to buy that, because then you get half the working memory.

5. M3 iMac

Number 5 of the 15 discontinued products is the M3 iMac. It was also renewed last month and now has an M4. There is now support for additional Thunderbolt ports and for Center Stage. What’s more, it now comes with 16GB of RAM as standard – all for the same starting price of €1,519. It’s also received a new set of colours.

The price of the M3 iMac is currently €1,313.29.

6 and 7. iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max

Since 2018, with the release of the iPhone XS, it has become tradition for Apple to discontinue the previous generation of flagship iPhones. This means that the iPhone 15 Pro models disappeared with the unveiling of the iPhone 16 Pro models. However, there is a unique reason to choose a refurbished 15 Pro, because it is one of the few iPhones that supports Apple Intelligence (available in the Netherlands in 2025).

You can currently buy a refurbished iPhone 15 Pro with 128 GB for €777 and a refurbished iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256 GB for €863.

8. iPhone 13

Apple introduced the iPhone 13 in 2021, with a number of upgrades including longer battery life, a new camera system and a smaller notch. The device then started at 909 euros and has undergone a number of price reductions over the years.

You can now buy a refurbished iPhone 13 for €364.

9, 10 and 11. Magic accessories with Lightning

With this fall’s new Macs, Apple has converted the Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard to USB-C, eliminating the Lightning versions.

There are some deals on Lightning versions of these accessories, but it is not recommended to buy a Lightning version of an accessory that you are likely to use for a while.

apple watch series 9

12. Apple Watch Series 9

After releasing the thinner Apple Watch Series 10, Apple discontinued the older Apple Watch Series 9. Likely because the Series 10 kept the same starting price and there just isn’t much room for a watch priced between the SE and Series 10 in.

You can currently buy the Apple Watch Series 9 for €348.95. But you can now also buy an Apple Watch Series 10 for €419. So the difference is not that big.

13, 14 and 15. Lightning AirPods

The last of the 15 discontinued products are AirPods with Lightning connection. With the introduction of AirPods 4 and USB-C AirPods Max, Apple has replaced all remaining AirPods with a Lightning port, including AirPods 2, AirPods 3 and AirPods Max. Apple introduced two variants of the AirPods 4 with different price tags, one with noise cancellation and one without.

We don’t recommend getting the AirPods 2 or AirPods 3 because the AirPods 4 are such a good deal. You can buy the basic version for € 135 or the version with noise cancellation 185 euros. You can also consider the USB-C AirPods Pro 2 if you’re interested in noise cancelling, which currently cost €219.
