Bad news if you have a subscription to Viaplay, because the streaming service becomes much more expensive. These are the new prices of Viaplay!
Viaplay increases prices
Do you currently have a subscription to Viaplay? Then you will pay more soon, because the streaming service has announced price increases. Viaplay not only adjusts the prices, but also introduces a subscription with advertising. At the moment you pay 17.99 euros per month for a subscription to Viaplay. That will soon be much more expensive, the new monthly price is no less than 21.99 euros.
That is a significant increase, so you will pay much more to watch Formula 1, Premier League, Bundesliga and darts. Do you find 21.99 euros per month too expensive? Then you can soon also opt for a subscription with advertising. For that option you pay monthly 19.99 euros. Yet there is a way to get out of these higher prices, because Viaplay reintroduces the annual subscriptions.
Annual subscription returns
In addition to the price increase, Viaplay has announced that the annual subscriptions return to the streaming service. That is striking, because a year ago Viaplay deleted the annual subscription. Soon it will be possible to take out a subscription for a whole year. This applies to both the standard subscription and the variant with advertisements.
For the annual subscription without advertising you pay monthly 19.99 euros. Do you choose the option with advertising? Then the monthly amount is just 16.99 euros. It is therefore advisable to take out an annual subscription, because in this way you will (partially) fall under the price increase. For example, an annual subscription with advertisements will soon be cheaper than the current monthly subscription from Viaplay.

Avoid price increase Viaplay
Do you want to avoid the higher prices at Viaplay? Then we recommend that you opt for the annual subscription with advertising. The streaming service has already indicated that live sports competitions are not interrupted by advertisements. This way the competition remains continuously in the picture and you will not be bothered by advertisements. Do you mainly use Viaplay to look at Formula 1? Then the race is not disturbed by advertisements. This is unfortunately the case with films and series.
With all subscriptions on Viaplay you get free F1 TV Pro, where you can follow Formula 1 without commercials. Viaplay uses the higher prices from Monday 3 February 2025. For current subscribers, the price increase only applies a month later, from March 3, 2025. Existing subscriptions are automatically converted to the basic subscription with advertising. Do you not want ads? Then you can upgrade yourself to the more expensive standard subscription.
