Apple will come in a few days with the first new products of the year. This is what is coming, including a few surprises.
Apple is coming with new products this week
According to Mark Gurman Van Bloomberg will present a number of new products this week. We will list what we expect exactly for you!
iPhone 16th (iPhone SE 4)
Apple’s newest iPhone is coming. The iPhone SE has not been updated since 2022 and is therefore more than ready for an upgrade. The new iPhone SE will probably get the name iPhone 16th and is expected to be launched this week. We expect an OLED screen with Face ID and a notch, a USB-C connection, 8 GB of memory and therefore support for Apple Intelligence, a 48 MP camera and a 5G modem that Apple itself has manufactured.
Many of these functions first appeared in the iPhone 16 a few months ago, so it is quite special that they are already appearing in Apple’s budget model. The current iPhone SE currently costs € 454, but the new iPhone 16th may start closer to the 600 euros. But even with a price increase it will be the best, affordable iPhone for most people.
PowerBeats Pro 2
Gurman says that at least one Apple product will be on the market this week: the PowerBeats Pro 2. Apple and Beats have been working on teasing the new PowerBeats Pro 2 for a while, including Tiger Woods and Rory Mcilroy. Gurman even expects the new earbuds on 11 February.
The new PowerBeats Pro probably have a fresh, slimmer design and appear in black, purple, orange and light brown. One of the great highlights is that a heart rate sensor has been added – a function that is also expected to come to the AirPods Pro 3 later this year.
Still new products?
Gurman explicitly stated that he is expecting the new iPhone 16th and PowerBeats Pro 2 this week, but he also hinted that there may be other new products in the offing.
The M4 MacBook Air is also expected around this time. Gurman even said earlier that this might be the first Apple product of the year. The stock of current MacBook Air models has apparently apparently shrunk in the Apple Stores. That could be a sign than the M4 models will be launched soon.
According to Gurman, the same applies to the stock of the current M2 iPad Air in the Apple Stores. This may mean that the expected M3 update also comes earlier than we thought.
Finally, the regular iPad will soon receive an update: the iPad 11. It was expected that the M3 iPad Air and the new A17 Pro iPad would come out around the same time. Whether that will also be this week or later this spring, will continue to wait for a moment.
