Apple has released beta 4 of iOS 18.4 and we can be brief about it. There are no new functions in it. Probably in this update there are mainly software updates and security leaks are closed.

iOS 18.4 will be a major update

Yet the final update of iOS 18.4 does entail quite a number of new functions. For example, you get more freedom when setting up standard applications. Now that is mainly Apple’s own apps, but that will change with iOS 18.4.

In addition, the control panel will have some new options with iOS 18.4. For example, it becomes possible to play new background noises. You can add these options to the control panel, link to the action button of your iPhone or place it on your lock screen.

New emoji will also come to your smartphone. These include a fingerprint, a harp and a shovel. Furthermore, the app photos received new buttons. You can find it in the album ‘Recently deleted’. When you have the overview with the deleted photos open, there is now a button at the bottom with which you can immediately restore all photos.

The wallet has also received an adjustment. When you have the Wallet app open, you can tap a button with three dots at the top right. In this menu you will find the options ‘orders’, ‘subscriptions and payments’ and ‘settings’.

Another app that has received new functions in Bèta 4 of iOS 18.4 is the app assignments. You can use them in your own assignments. Most of these seem to focus on adjusting functions and settings in different apps.

You don’t have to wait that long on the release. Because iOS 18.4 comes out somewhere in April. Then everyone can install this new software version.
