Photos have appeared of a prototype of the Apple Watch Series 10, showing a new health sensor. You need to know this.
Apple is working on new health sensor
The photos come from X user @Stellafudge And show a unique design of a health sensor. This new health sensor on the prototype of the Apple Watch Series 10 has a smaller series of LEDs compared to the real Apple Watch Series 10 models launched last year. In addition, an extra ring of lights around the sensor is also visible. It is not clear what that ring is for. View the photos of the Prototype Apple Watch Series 10 with the new sensor below:
The prototype of the Apple Watch Series 10, incidentally, runs on an internal build of Watchos 11.1 that, according to @stellafudge, has never been released to the general public.

Purpose of the sensor
The health sensor on the back of the Apple Watch Series 10 that has been available for some time is used to measure the heartbeat of the carrier. On models that are only sold outside the United States due to a patent dispute, the oxygen in the blood is also measured. This is possible thanks to the built -in saturation sensor. It is unclear why the sensor on this prototype of the Apple Watch Series 10 looks different. We suspect that Apple is testing future health functions for the Apple Watch.
For example, Apple tests a function that you can warn with signs of high blood pressure. This function was mentioned for the first time a few years before the Apple Watch Series 10 was launched. However, it seems that Apple will continue to have problems with the development of blood pressure detection. It is therefore unclear whether the function will be ready on time for the Apple Watch Series 11, which will probably appear in September.
