This is how you use the Apple logo () as an emoji on your iPhone (and iPad)

There are a huge amount of emoji available on your iPhone and iPad, but an official Apple logo is missing. This is how you send the Apple logo ()!

Apple logo on the iPhone and iPad

Apple regularly expands the number of emoji on your iPhone and iPad. Every spring the company adds new pictures, giving you the choice of more and more emoji. Nevertheless, there is no important picture, because it is not possible to send the official Apple logo as emoji via your iPhone or iPad. You can only select a picture of an apple, but the official logo of the company is missing.

Unfortunately, it is not (yet) possible to add the Apple logo to the keyboard, in which all emoji are. Fortunately, that does not mean that you cannot send the company’s logo at all if emoji on your iPhone or iPad. In the settings of the device you can still add the Apple logo, so that the picture appears automatically when you type ‘Apple’. Curious how you do that? We explain it!

Enable text replacement

Do you want to add an Apple logo to your iPhone or iPad? In that case you can enable the text replacement of the device. This function is intended to adjust certain words to other text. Text replacement not only works with words (or sentences), but also with pictures. This makes it easy to add the Apple logo to your device as an emoji. You do that as follows:

  1. Hold  and press ‘copy’;

  2. Then open the settings app on your iPhone or iPad;

  3. Tap ‘general’;

  4. Open ‘keyboard’;

  5. Choose ‘text replacement’;

  6. Press the plus sign (+) in the right corner;

  7. Stick the Apple logo () in addition to ‘sentence’;

  8. Enter ‘Apple’ next to ‘keyword’

  9. Finally, tap ‘Save’.

If you now deregister ‘Apple’ on your iPhone or iPad, the company’s logo will appear automatically. That way you can still use the Apple logo as an emoji on your device. Note, because the picture is not visible to all users. The logo does not appear on Android devices, but users get to see a question mark. You can therefore only share the company’s logo with other Apple users.

More Apple tips

Do you regularly write the word ‘apple’? In that case it is wise to set another keyword than ‘Apple’. For example, you can opt for ‘Applee’, so that you can still type the name of the company without any problems. The Apple logo then appears as an emoji if you write that keyword.
