Spotify introduces function
Just update! Spotify has released a new version of the application, with which a long -awaited position is added to the music service. It has long been possible to download music and podcasts in Spotify. After downloading all songs and podcasts you can listen to them without an internet connection. That is an easy way to save data, especially if you travel or are on the road a lot.
Downloading songs, albums and podcasts is possible on your iPhone, iPad, Mac (book) and Apple Watch. That happened so far on each device, so that you had to open Spotify on all Apple devices. In the new version of Spotify, that will change, because you can download music and podcasts on your other devices from one device. We explain where you can find the new function of Spotify.
Download on all devices
Do you regularly listen to Spotify on your iPad, Apple Watch or Mac (book)? In that case you get a handy function in Spotify. You can download music from your iPhone on other devices with the same Spotify account. It is therefore no longer necessary to download music or podcasts separately on each device. Curious how that works? Here you will find the new feature in Spotify:
- Open ‘Spotify’ on your iPhone;
- Search for the playlist or the podcast that you want to download;
- Tap the three dots (···) above the list or podcast;
- Choose ‘Download to other devices’;
- Press the arrow down (â£) behind the device on which you want to download.
In this way it becomes much easier to download music and podcasts on other devices. The new function is also available on all devices with Spotify. So from the iPad you can also download music and podcasts on your iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac (book) and vice versa. Delete is the same way, so that you can manage all your downloads from one device. The new feature is only available for users with a Spotify Premium subscription.
