New function WhatsApp
WhatsApp has added a new feature! It becomes easier to select text in the application of the messaging service. Where you could only select full messages before, it is now finally possible to copy a only part of the message. With this, WhatsApp solves great irritation when copying and pasting messages in the application. You now decide which text you select.
This improvement in WhatsApp is especially useful when copying important data such as e -mail addresses, telephone numbers, passport numbers or home addresses. To copy and paste this information, you previously had to select the entire message and then manually remove the irrelevant data. That is no longer necessary, because you can select the correct text in one go. We tell you how that works!
Select text
WhatsApp has added the improvement to the latest version of the application, which is version 25.16.81. Have you updated the app to this or a newer software version? In that case you can select individual text in messages. Are you curious how the new feature of WhatsApp works? Copying and pasting texts in messages is as follows:
- Open WhatsApp on your iPhone or iPad;
- Go to a (group) conversation;
- Hold down the message that you want to select;
- Press the message again for longer;
- Select the text you want to copy and press ‘Copy’;
- Finally go to the conversation where you want to stick the text;
- Hold down the menu bar and tap ‘paste’.
WhatsApp makes it much easier in this way to copy and paste texts. With this improvement, it is also possible to paste text from WhatsApp in another application. For example, you can stick a telephone number in the telephone app or add an address to the card or contacts app. You no longer have to copy the entire message for that, but you can limit selecting to the relevant information.
