Facelift for Suzuki Vitara Brezza

Suzuki has made a facelift in India on the little brother of the Vitara: the Vitara Brezza. The car currently shines during the Auto Expo in New Delhi.

In 2016 we wrote the first words about the Vitara Brezza, a small crossover produced by Maruti Suzuki that actually resembles a too-washed Vitara. The now facelifted Brezza is on the same platform as our Vitara, but with its length of just under 4 meters a lot shorter than the 4.18 meter long Vitara. The wheelbase is identical at 2.5 meters. The smaller dimensions of the Vitara Brezza ensure that it can nestle in a more favorable tax group.

The Vitara Brezza gets a fresher muzzle with new LED headlights, a new bumper and a revised grille. Naturally, Maruti Suzuki also mounts new lighting units at the back. The interior is also being modernized, although the point-of-session is almost exclusively related to the infotainment system. From now on, that supports both Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Until now, the Vitara Brezza was only available with a 90 hp and 200 Nm 1.2 diesel engine, but that engine was cut from the range due to stricter emission standards. From now on all Vitaras Brezza will receive a 105 hp and a 138 Nm strong 1.5 under the hood. Switching is done through a manual five-speed gearbox, although a four-speed automatic transmission is also available.
