The Apple Watch Ultra 3 will soon be coming and witness an image in iOS 26-beta 5 that gets a larger screen. The display becomes that big.
The screen of the Apple Watch Ultra 3 becomes that big
The new iOS 26-Bèta contains an image that confirms that Apple is working on a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra. Aaron Perris Van Macrumors found the image on which an Apple Watch stands with a resolution that does not match that of the current Apple Watch models.
The Apple Watch has a resolution of 422 x 514 pixels, which is slightly higher than the 410 x 502 pixels of the current Apple Watch Ultra models. Since no existing Apple Watch model has a resolution of 422 x 514 and the Apple Watch Series 10 already received a larger screen last year, the image seems to attach a slightly larger screen for the Apple Watch Ultra 3.
Still unclear whether the whole Watch is getting bigger
Apple could be planning to make the Apple Watch Ultra 3 as a whole larger. As a result, a larger battery could also be built into the device than ever before. Another possibility is that the Ultra 3 will get the same housing, but with thinner edges. This would also create more space for a larger screen. What it is going to be is not yet clear.
In addition to a larger screen, we expect the following new functions on the Apple Watch Ultra 3:
- Satellite connection for sending and receiving messages
- Detection of high blood pressure
- New OLED screen with more Always-onverligingen
- 5G connection
- An S11 or S12 chip

iPhone 17 event
We expect Apple to present the new Apple Watch Ultra 3 during the iPhone 17 event, which will probably take place on Tuesday 9 September. We therefore expect the presentation of the Apple Watch Series 11 and of course the iPhone 17 series: the iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Air, the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
