According to rumors, the AirPods Pro 3 get a heart rate monitor. Earlier this year, Apple introduced this heart rate measurement at the PowerBeats Pro 2. Measure small sensors than your heart rate through the blood flow. This data is then synchronized with the health app on the iPhone.

This technology comes from the heart rate sensors that are also on the Apple Watch. Nice to know: If you wear both an Apple Watch and the PowerBeats Pro 2, the apps use the data from the Apple Watch as standard. This will probably also apply to the new function of the AirPods Pro 3.

More new features for the AirPods Pro 3

In addition to a heart rate measurement, more functions are expected at the AirPods Pro 3:

  • Better sound quality. Apple is working on an upgrade of the H-chip in the AirPods, which will certainly benefit sound quality;
  • Improved active noise reduction (ANC). The H3 chip ensures even faster processing, and that results in improved active noise reduction and better adaptive audio.
  • Renewed design. According to rumors, Apple is working on a few changes at the AirPods Pro 3. For example, the ears get a new design, with a shorter stalk and a more compact charging case.

Another interesting new feature that will come on the AirPods Pro 3 is automatically translating. The automatic translation function is a function that Apple will add to all AirPods models. The condition is that they are connected to an iPhone that Apple Intelligence supports and on which iOS 26 runs.

The AirPods Pro 3 will be presented during the iPhone event in September.
