Apple is said to work on new ‘Liquid Silicone’ covers for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max, in eight different 1970s colors.
Liquid Silicone Cases
The message about the Liquid Silicone covers comes from Majin Buwho often shares information about upcoming Apple products. The series covers consists of eight variants with a matte finish and a soft texture. The covers have several recesses for attaching a carrier, which is available separately.
BU has it over the colors Deep Orange (deep orange), Pale Orange (light orange), Grass Green (Grasgroen), Celadon (Gray green), Fog Purple (fog pests), Gray Blue (Gray Blue), Dark Blue (Dark Blue) and Midnight Black (Midnight Black), but it really starts using this names.

BU claims that Apple initially tried other colors, including Black (black), Crag Gray (rock gray), Carambola (Carambolageel), Tannin (tannine blue) and Lake Green (Meergroen). Apple would have rejected these colors. BU also suggests that some of these colors may still appear as seasonal variants that Apple will only release at a later date.

Techwoven covers
BU has previously shared images of new so-called techwoven covers for iPhone 17 models, which is said to replace the Finewoven covers that Apple took out of the market after the launch of the iPhone 16. According to BU, the Liquid Silicone covers from Apple are aimed at a wider audience than the techwoven covers. They would be cheaper and available in more different colors.
Liquid Silicone covers appear in September
It is still unclear whether these covers are real. The name ‘Liquid Silicone’ seems to be based on the new ‘Liquid Glass’ design of iOS 26. BU is regularly right when it comes to Apple rumors, but also not always. We don’t have to wait for a long time, because it looks like Apple reveals the new iphone 17 models on Tuesday 9 September.
