Many new products are expected during the Event of Apple on 9 September. But there are also a few that you will almost certainly not see.
You should not expect these products during the iPhone event in September 2025
The annual event of Apple will take place this year on Tuesday 9 September 2025. Apple calls the event ‘Awe Dropping’ this year. During the event you can expect the iPhone 17 series, the Apple Watch Series 11, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and possibly also the AirPods Pro 3. But there are also some products in development that are not yet presented during this event.
AirPods Max 2
A successor to the AirPods Max still seems very far away. Rumors say that there might only be a possibility somewhere in 2027 that the AirPods will come max 2.
Homepad
Apple is working on a new Smart Home device that will look like a kind of homepod, but with a screen. This device is also one of the products that you will probably not see during the Apple event in September. Rumors say that the Homepad will only become available in 2026.
iPhone 17th
Apple is working on a new successor to the iPhone 16th. But this new entry -level model (the iPhone 17th) will probably only appear in the first half of 2026.
New studio display
A new studio display with mini -LED and an A19 Pro -chip is under development, but according to rumors it will not be shown before 2026.
Mac with M5 chip
The long -awaited M5 -Macs are still waiting this year. According to Mark Gurman, the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro will only come in the first half of 2026 with the new chips. The new iMac and Mac Mini will only come next year.
iPad Air and iPad
Apple already released the iPad Air 2025 and iPad 2025 in March. Mark Gurman also says that you only have to expect new versions of these tablets in 2026.
