It looks like the iPhone 17 is getting a little bigger than its predecessor – probably these are the dimensions of the new iPhone 17!
Dimensions of the iPhone 17
The iPhone 16 has a screen of 6.1 inches and the dimensions of the housing are 147.6 x 71.6 x 7.8 mm. That is exactly the same as the screen and the dimensions of predecessor iPhone 15. On the other hand, the upcoming iPhone 17 is getting a bit bigger.
The main reason for this is that the screen of the iPhone 17 also becomes larger. The new iPhone does not get a screen of 6.1 inches, but one of 6.3 inches. That does not make a lot of difference, but it must certainly have an effect on the dimensions of the device.
Another device that has a screen of 6.3 inches is the iPhone 16 Pro. It has the following dimensions: 149.6 x 71.5 x 8.3 mm. The iPhone 16 Pro is therefore especially longer and thicker than the iPhone 16. In principle, we do not expect the latter at the iPhone 17. Just like the iPhone 17, the iPhone 16 Plus is also larger than the iPhone 16, but not at all thicker. Our gamble for the dimensions of the iPhone 17 is therefore approximately 149.6 x 71.6 x 7.8 mm.
You can expect this even more from the iPhone 17
The iPhone 17 is the first regular iPhone with promotion and an always-on screen. Furthermore, he will probably get the A19 chip, making it a bit faster than the iPhone 16. The memory remains with 8 GB the same as that of the predecessor, but it is in any case sufficient to support Apple Intelligence. Given the slightly larger housing of the iPhone 17, the battery may also be slightly larger. In combination with a more efficient chip, this probably ensures a slightly longer battery life than that of the iPhone 16.
