Apple Music: Remove offline music from iPhone, iPad or Mac

Only offline and not from the iCloud music library

With Apple Music you can easily download songs, albums and playlists so that you can listen to them without an internet connection. You only have to tap the download icon next to a song or album, after which the music is stored locally on your device.

This is useful if you are on the road or do not have access to WiFi or mobile internet. That way you can always listen to your favorite music, even if you are offline. However, pay attention when you remove downloaded numbers. You can delete the download or the full song or album.

Remove offline music

  1. Open the music application
  2. Navigate to the music you want to remove
  3. Tap or click on the three dots In addition to the song or with the album or playlist
  4. Tap or click on ‘Delete download’

In addition, you can also tap or click on the Download Vinkje and choose ‘Remove Only Download’.

If you only want to delete one number, you can do this by tapping or clicking on the three dots next to the number. Then choose ‘Remove Download’.

Only delete downloads

With the help of the above steps you ensure that you only knew the offline music and not the full song, album or playlist in your music library. If you opt for ‘Remove from library’, the songs will be removed from your entire iCloud music library.
