Disney Plus is becoming more expensive

Bad news if you have a subscription to Disney Plus, because the streaming service is becoming more expensive again. Disney has announced price increases for all subscriptions in the Netherlands and Belgium. At Disney Plus you currently have the choice between three different subscriptions, each of which becomes one to two euros per month more expensive. Do you have a standard subscription to Disney Plus? In that case the price goes up by one euro per month, both with the subscription with and without advertising. The Premium subscription from Disney Plus will be two euros more expensive per month. The prices for sharing an account remain the same with the standard subscription, you pay 5.99 euros per month for an extra user. At Disney Plus Standard without advertising and Disney Plus Premium, that is 6.99 euros a month.

Prices entered immediately

Disney Plus immediately introduced the price increases for new subscribers. If you now take out a subscription to the streaming service, you immediately pay the more expensive prices. The new prices will start later this year for existing subscriptions. If you have taken out a subscription with Disney Plus before September 30, 2025, you will pay the more expensive prices from 4 November.

Do you have an annual subscription to Disney Plus? In that case, prices will be increased at the end of November. Disney Plus makes the annual subscriptions more expensive from November 25, 2025. The annual subscription is only available at Disney Plus Standard (without advertising) and Disney Plus Premium. For an annual subscription at Disney Plus Standard you pay 109.90 euros, with Disney Plus Premium that is 159.90 euros. For that higher price you get Dolby Atmos, video quality up to 4K and you can streaming on four devices at the same time.

Many price increases at Disney Plus

It is not the first time that Disney Plus has increased the prices, because in 2024 and 2023 the streaming service also became more expensive. With the new price increase, 2025 is therefore the third year in a row that Disney Plus requires more money for the subscriptions. That is not the only change, since last year it is no longer allowed to share an account from Disney Plus outside your household. Do you do that right? Then you have to pay even more to add an extra user.
