Disney Plus previously announced that it would make all subscriptions more expensive and now it is HBO Max’s turn. Do you have HBO Max Premium? In that case you will soon spend a lot more money on your subscription, because HBO Max increases the price by no less than three euros per month. HBO Max Standard (without advertising) becomes two euros more expensive per month. Users with HBO Basic have not yet received mail, so it is unclear whether the price of this subscription will be increased. HBO Max has adjusted the prices on the website for both standard and premium.

Lifelong discount

Users with lifetime discount on HBO Max will be retained, even after the upcoming price increases. That means that you still keep a 50 percent discount on your HBO Max subscription. The monthly costs do increase, because HBO Max makes two of the three subscriptions more expensive. Even with the lifelong discount you will pay more soon. These are the new prices:

HBO Max is therefore implementing substantial price increases that will be implemented in November. Certainly in comparison with a few years ago, the streaming service has become much more expensive. HBO Max came to the Netherlands in 2022 with a starting price of 6 euros per month. In the meantime, that price has become much higher, so that you will soon pay no less than 16.99 euros per month for the most expensive subscription.
