iOS 26.2 release: when will your iPhone get new features?
To predict the final release of iOS 26.2, we need to look at the releases of previous versions. Below we have listed the data from iOS 14 to iOS 18 for you.
iOS 14.2: the Release Candidate was released on October 30th and the final version followed on November 5th. Beta 4 released on October 20;
iOS 15.2: the Release Candidate came on December 7 and the final version on December 13. Like the others, this update received four betas, with beta 4 releasing on December 2;
iOS 16.2: the Release Candidate came on December 7, followed by the official release on December 13. Beta 4 appeared here on December 1;
iOS 17.2: the Release Candidate was ready on December 5 and the release took place on December 11. This version also received four betas, with beta 4 on November 28;
iOS 18.2: the Release Candidate was on December 5, and the final release followed on December 11. It was preceded by four betas; beta 4 came out on November 20.
We have not yet seen a fourth beta of iOS 26.2. So that will probably come sometime in the first week of December. The final release of iOS 26.2 will probably be around December 15 or 16. But the second week of December can also be an option.

iOS 26.2 is not a very major update, but it does bring a few useful innovations to your iPhone. These are the most important improvements.
- Alarm in Reminders: mark a reminder as urgent and get an alarm when it’s due;
- Lock screen: adjust the transparency of the Liquid Glass clock with a slider;
- AirDrop: Create a one-time AirDrop code to securely share files with people outside your contacts for 30 days;
- Sleep score: the scores have been improved to better match how you really feel after a good(?) night’s sleep;
- Live translation: AirPods live translation coming to the EU.
