It is very atmospheric to use your TV as a virtual fireplace during the holidays. We show how that works, with and without Netflix.
Transform your TV into a fireplace
Although a real fireplace is of course best, a virtual fireplace on your TV is a very good alternative. There are several ways to achieve this. We show you 6 different options!
1. Fireplace on Netflix
If you have a subscription to Netflix, that is probably the easiest way. Just search for ‘fireplace’ in the app and several options will appear. For example, you will find ‘Fireplace for your home’, but also ‘The Witcher fireplace’ and even ‘Stranger Things fireplace’. So you can go in any direction with Netflix.

2. Fireplace on HBO Max
On HBO Max you will not find a classic fireplace for your TV, but you will find two different fireplaces in a specific theme. You can choose from ‘Christmas at Hogwarts: fireside’ and ‘Game of Thrones: fireside’. Perfect if you want to create one of those two atmospheres in your living room!

3. Fireplace on Prime
On Amazon Prime you can find a classic fireplace that you can stream to your TV. There are two versions, namely Fireplace and Fireplace Christmas. That’s not a lot of choice, but they are two excellent options.

4. Fireplace on Disney+
On Disney+ you will find an animated fireplace from the movie Frozen that you can stream to your TV. There are two different versions: ‘The fireplace of Arendelle Castle’ and ‘The fireplace of Arendelle Castle: the cut-out version’.

5. Virtual Fireplace In HD
You can also just install an app on your iPhone, for example Virtual Fireplace In HD. All that app does is show and hear a fireplace, which, like all other options, you can simply stream to your TV. An advantage is that you can adjust some things to your own taste via this app, for example the speed of the flames.

6. Fireplace on YouTube
If you do not have a subscription to a streaming service and do not want to install an app, you can also go to YouTube. Just search for ‘fireplace’ and you’ll find endless videos of a fireplace that you can stream to your TV!
