Chat without a chat app

If you want to chat with someone without anyone noticing, you can first of all secure your iPhone properly. You can also secure most chat apps. This way you can enable Chat lock in WhatsApp and secure the chat with Face ID. But if you are not the only one who uses your iPhone, that is of course not an option.

Fortunately, there is another way to chat with someone without anyone realizing it. This is possible because you don’t use a chat app at all. Instead, you chat via an app that almost no one associates with texting or messaging. And that is the Notes app.

Chatting in the Notes app is possible when you’re working on a note with someone else. Chatting is therefore not the main function, but it can of course be used in that way. Moreover, you can also protect the note in question with Face ID, in case someone discovers what you are doing. Follow the steps below to try it out:

Once your contact accepts the invitation, you can both type in the note in real time. So you don’t have to type and then send like in most chat apps, you see each other typing live (and therefore also correct errors). Something to take into account. Exchanging photos is no problem at all this way.
