You can use the smart stack on the Apple Watch. In general, the smart stack shows widget suggestions that change throughout the day. You can indicate per widget whether it should appear in the overview.
The smart stack is a collection of widgets that looks at information such as the time, your location, or an activity to automatically display the most relevant widgets for that moment. You can pin widgets to this view for Apple Watch, but generally they are widget suggestions.
Smart stack for Apple Watch
The Smart Stack on the Apple Watch is a dynamic collection of widgets that automatically shows relevant information based on time, location and activity, among other things. You open the smart stack by swiping up on the watch face or scrolling up with the Digital Crown.

Thanks to smart suggestions and live activities, you always see the information that is most important at that moment, such as appointments, weather or current sports results. You can customize the stack by adding, removing, or pinning widgets so your favorites are always at the top.
Hide widget suggestions
Sometimes a widget suggestion appears in the Smart Stack on your Apple Watch that you don’t find relevant or useful. Fortunately, you can easily hide such unwanted widgets so that you only see the information that is important to you.
- Open Settings on your Apple Watch
- Go to ‘Smart Stack’
- Tap ‘Widget Suggestions’

You now have two options: either you disable all widget suggestions via the button of the same name, or you manage this per app. This way you can enable or disable the widget suggestions of apps individually. For example, you can disable the suggestions for ‘Cycle tracking’ or ‘Tides’. Repeat this for all apps whose widget suggestions you want to hide in the smart stack.
