Just like in previous years, Apple has released a new strap for the Apple Watch during Black History Month. This year it’s all about connection and it has become a braided solo band. Just like previous years, this band consists of the colors of the Pan-African flag.

This means that the colors red, green and black play the leading role. There are multiple shades per color, which makes the strap look quite striking up close. The strap is made of silicone wire.

Please note if you want to buy this strap. The strap consists of one whole. This means that you have to measure in advance what size you need. You can choose between a 42 mm and 46 mm strap. You also have to choose the size of the strap. Apple has a tool for that that you can use.

It looks like Apple hasn’t released a special wallpaper this time. In previous years, a background for your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch also appeared together with the band. Maybe that will come, but we don’t expect it.

The 2026 Black Unity strap can be ordered immediately via the Apple Online Store and the Apple Store app. It will also be available in physical Apple Stores later this week. The price is 99 euros and you can choose from 42mm or 46mm, with strap sizes 0 to 9. It works with Apple Watch Series 4 or newer, the Apple Watch SE (€ 230.99) and all Apple Watch Ultra models (€ 800.95), with the Ultra requiring the 46mm variant.
