Leaked: these are all the specifications of the upcoming iPhone Fold

Until now, iPhone Fold rumors have focused on the screen, but a new rumor reveals details about the cameras, buttons, colors and more.

All specifications of the iPhone Fold

Rumors of an iPhone Fold have been appearing since at least 2019, when Samsung released its first foldable smartphone. All this while, these rumors have only been about the screens and design. That finally seems to be changing. Weibo user ‘Instant Digital‘ now claims to have revealed all other details. This is apparently what we could expect:

• Volume buttons are moved from the left side to the top right side.
• The power button remains on the right side.
• The camera island is completely black and therefore not in the same color as the rest.
• There are two cameras horizontally next to each other on the back.
• A smaller Dynamic Island
• Appears in white and in another unknown color.
• Gets the largest iPhone battery yet.

Buttons on the right

According to rumors, Apple will use the power button on the right side of the iPhone Fold for Touch ID. The placement of the buttons is also important because the user has everything on the same side when the iPhone Fold is opened. Reaching to the other side is then not necessary and Apple does not have to run control circuits across the foldable screen.

Instant Digital says Apple is leaving the entire left side of the iPhone Fold blank. This way, the entire left side can be used for the screen and battery. This also allows the iPhone Fold to have the largest iPhone battery Apple has ever produced.

Two colors

One surprise in the rumor concerns the color of the iPhone. As mentioned, it will be available in two colors, of which only white is currently known. At the same time, the camera island would be black regardless of the color of the rest of the iPhone Fold. That appears to be at odds with Apple’s plan to ditch the two-tone look on the iPhone 17 range.
