Gas fermentation is a biotechnological process in which CO2 used to manufacture new products. Here, microorganisms take over the recycling and convert environmentally harmful exhaust gases such as CO2 into new raw materials, e.g. B. for chemicals. At the University of Stuttgart, Prof. Ralf Takors and his team are working on putting this process into practice, i.e. developing sensible use cases for gas fermentation and the necessary technologies.
