With this trick you can immediately type questions to Siri

Siri is the intelligent assistant built into your iPhone, iPad, and Mac that makes everyday tasks easier and faster. You can ask Siri questions not only with your voice, but also by typing. This has always been possible, but Apple Intelligence makes it even easier.

If you don’t want to talk out loud, for example during a meeting or in a quiet environment such as on the train, you can also type your questions to Siri. To type questions to Siri, follow the steps below.

  • Unlock your iPhone or iPad
  • Double-tap the bottom of the screen
  • Then type your question

Is it not possible to ask Siri questions this way using typing? Then you still have to activate the function via Institutions â–¸ Apple Intelligence and Siri â–¸ Talk and write to Siri â–¸ enable the option ‘Type questions to Siri‘ in.

Typing with Siri on a Mac

On a Mac you can easily do this by activating Siri via the menu bar or launchpad. Then click on the Siri field and then type your question. Do you want quickly type a question? Then press twice in succession command⌘-test

Don’t want to use this typing function? Then you can disable this via Settings â–¸ Apple Intelligence and Siri â–¸ Talk to and write to Siri â–¸ disable the ‘Type questions to Siri’ option.
