MacRumors Contributor Aaron Perris has leaked images of three unannounced Apple products. Although there have been rumors for a long time about a new Apple TV, the HomePod mini 2 and an eighth generation iPad mini, these leaked images for the first time give a concrete idea of what we can expect.
The leaks not only show design changes, but also provide insight into the internal upgrades with which Apple prepares its devices for the future. Artificial intelligence and better network performance play a central role in this hardware. We list all discoveries and rumors about these three devices for you.
Apple TV (4th generation)
The current Apple TV 4K dates back to October 2022, which means that it has been exactly four years since Apple last updated the media player. Judging from the leaked image, the new model will retain the same design as the current generation, but the biggest changes may take place internally.
According to rumors, the new Apple TV will have at least one A17 Pro chipminimum 8 GB RAM and Apple’s own N1 network chip. This chip supports faster WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread. Thanks to the combination of at least 8 GB of RAM and the A17 Pro chip, this Apple TV can finally support Apple Intelligence and a new one Siri AIwhich should immediately become the most important function of the device. A revised Siri Remote is also planned.
The current Apple TV 4K is available as a Wi-Fi model (64 GB) and a Wi-Fi + Ethernet model (128 GB). After the recent price increases last June, prices start at € 229 and € 299. It remains to be seen whether prices for the new generation will remain at this level.
HomePod mini 2
Perris also discovered images of what Apple refers to as the HomePod mini 2. The leaked images show five new colors: green, pink, blue, white and black. For comparison, the current model is available in yellow, orange, blue, white and midnight. The new blue variant also appears to be slightly lighter in tone.
While no additional specs have been leaked via the images yet, previous rumors prove that the HomePod mini 2 is likely a more recent one S series chip and the new one N1 network chip gets. Just like with the Apple TV, a smarter Siri AI will become the absolute eye-catcher.
The original HomePod mini was introduced in October 2020 with a suggested retail price of €109, but will cost €139 after the recent price increases.
iPad mini (8th generation)
The compact iPad can also count on an update. The iPad mini was last refreshed in October 2024 and is due for both internal and external innovations. Perris has discovered clear product images of the front of the tablet.
The images show that the front camera moves to the long side (landscape mode). This adjustment was previously implemented on the iPad (10th generation), the iPad Air and the iPad Pro. With this step, Apple completes the transition for the entire iPad line.
In addition, a small cutout can be seen at the top edge of the screen, similar to the speaker slot on an iPhone. This has to do with rumors about a new speaker design that the iPad mini water resistant ideal for outdoor use or on the beach. The current iPad mini has a starting price of €689.

- Processor: A19 Pro or A20 Pro chip
- Screen: A little bigger OLEDdisplay
- Network: N1 network chip
- Mobile data: C1X or C2 modem for the Cellular models
