New multimedia, diesel engine is more powerful now
Toyota Land Cruiser 2021
The Toyota Land Cruiser is undergoing another round of renewal. This time Toyota has updated the engine and infotainment.
One of the longest driving models is the Toyota Land Cruiser. Since 2007, it has already received various updates, now the Japanese brand has made the terrain SUV resistant for the 1920s. The most important changes are the more powerful engine, the expansion of multimedia and active safety systems, plus the arrival of the Black Line.
The well-known 2.8 liter diesel engine with double overhead camshaft (‘DOHC’) and common rail technology now offers 27 hp extra power, up to 204 hp at 3,000 to 3,400 rpm. The torque increases by 50 Nm to 500 Nm at 1,600 to 2,800 rpm. Now you can accelerate from 0-100 km / h with the enormous SUV in less than 10 seconds. Thanks to the addition of start / stop technology, fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have decreased.
The Land Cruiser’s multimedia system will respond more quickly in the future. You can adjust the start screen to your own taste. Smartphone exchange is also possible, both via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. From now on, (navigation) updates will be carried out ‘over the air’. Intelligent cruise control and Pre-Collision System are the new safety features. The latter system detects pedestrians and also cyclists during the day.
