The German Posaidon does not look at a horsepower more or less. Under the name Mercedes-AMG GT 63 RS 830+ they come up with an AMG GT 4-door which in export form kicks it to no less than 940 hp.
Let’s start with the base vehicle. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4-door is the superlative (S) of the fastest version (63) of the ever-fast Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door, the (confusingly enough) five-door variant of the AMG GT. With 639 hp, there is little reason to complain in a standard 63 S bar, but Poseidon thinks otherwise.
To get more power from the mighty 4.0-liter V8, the old-fashioned mechanical work is done. With a simple chip you will not get to this level, so new turbos, a modified inlet and outlet and modified cylinder heads are fitted.
The result is 830 horsepower, which explains that number in the name of the car. Then we now proceed to the ‘+’. Posaidon also installs a water / methanol injection for export cars. This system, which cools the intake air considerably and thus compacts it, produces an additional 110 hp in the case of this AMG GT. The result: 940 hp, a torque of 1,278 Nm, 0-100 in 2.8 seconds, 100 to 200 in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of “over 350 km / h”.
Unfortunately, the water / methanol injection cannot count on the approval of the strict German TÜV inspectors. German customers will therefore have to make do with 830 hp. The wretches.
