Volkswagen e-Crafter also as a pick-up and tipper

The Volkswagen Crafter was also available as a fully electric e-Crafter two years ago. Now the range is further expanded in the form of an electric pick-up and tipper version.

The van market is rapidly being stormed by electrically powered variants of well-known names. The e-Crafter is one of them. With the electric Crafter you can cover up to 115 km (WLTP) with a fully charged 35 kWh battery pack. The top speed is a very modest 90 km / h. This makes the e-Crafter especially suitable for silent transport in urban areas. There, people sometimes want to use a pick-up or a tipper and the e-Crafter now offers that choice too.

The technical basis remains the same for both the pick-up and the tipper. The body is 3.26 meters long and 2.04 meters wide and can be packed up to roughly 820 kilos with the pick-up. With the tipper, where the loading box must of course still be able to be lifted, the maximum loading load is 740 kilos. The side boards can be folded down and options include a pallet rack, rope hooks and a broom cupboard. If you want to have your electric Crafter converted into a pick-up, you will spend at least € 13,300 excl. For the tipper you have to pay € 14,950 excluding VAT.
