Sound of Metal tells the moving story about the promising metal drummer Ruben. After he drugged heroin four years ago, the musician once again faces a major setback. His ears prove to be unable to withstand the sky-high decibels during performances, which means he has to deal with severe hearing loss. Together with his girlfriend and fellow musician Lou, Ruben tries to give his deafness a place, looking for support from other deaf people. Will he manage to give his new life a good meaning without sound? This two-hour film will be on from December 4 Amazon Prime Video to see.
The Wilds (season 1)
The new series The Wilds can be seen exclusively on Amazon Prime Video from 11 December. Eight teenage girls all lead their own lives, but after a plane crash they suddenly end up on a desert island. The company builds a close relationship with each other and do everything they can to survive. Moreover, it becomes clear that the plane crash took place for a striking reason. Not much is known about this series yet, but the trailer is certainly very promising. In order to convince potential Prime Video subscribers, Amazon is making the first episode available for free for some time. The first season consists of ten episodes.
The Grand Tour: A Massive Hunt
After their previous adventure on the waters of Asia, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond ended up on the islands of Madagascar and Réunion for this one-part special. First the trio travels to the latter island. A remarkable ring road has been built in the sea there. The main characters pick up flashy cars and start racing on the brand new asphalt. Then Jeremy and his fellows make the crossing to beautiful Madagascar, where they have to travel the world’s most difficult road with modified cars. Can you bypass all booby traps? The Grand Tour: A Massive Hunt will be released on December 18.

Out of poverty motives, the love couple Fox and Rob Rich carry out a desperate robbery in the early 1990s, after which Rob is sentenced to sixty years in prison. Fox is an enterprising mother of six and has campaigned intensively for the past 20 years to get her husband released. She kept video diaries so that Rob can see what life they lead behind the thick prison walls. Using these video diaries and conversations with Fox, this documentary sketches an impressive family portrait of the past two decades. Time lasts 81 minutes and will be released on December 1.
A Million Little Pieces
James Frey is sick of drugs and booze when one day he has a bad fall. The bar is full for Bob and he sends his younger brother to rehab. The once-accomplished writer ‘s body is quite exhausted and doctors are amazed that James is still alive at all. A dubious Mafia member helps him recover and against the rules of the clinic, James begins a relationship with Lilly. The couple seem to fall back into their devastating addiction for a moment, but luckily James finds enough strength to continue his recovery. Nothing to do on Christmas Eve? That’s great, because A Million Little Pieces will be released on December 5th.
