New Chevrolet Bolt EUV on display

Chevrolet has a new electric crossover in development chambers adding it to the Bolt range. The brand is now showing the back of that electric newcomer.

Chevrolet will pull the curtain on both the revised Bolt and the all-new Bolt EUV on February 14. The latter is a brand new electric crossover, of which an electric brother already exists in China.

Chevrolet’s sister brand Buick has been selling the Velite 7 in China since mid-last year, a compact crossover based on the Bolt that Chevrolet has been selling since 2016. We also know the Bolt in Europe as the Opel Ampera-e sold here until recently. Like the Velite 7, the Bolt EUV thus becomes the Bolt’s crossover brother. The EUV will make its public debut in less than a month at the same time as the facelifted regular Bolt.

The buttocks of the Bolt EUV can already be seen clearly in a teaser video. He gets relatively flat rear lights that are more or less connected to each other via a black strip of plastic. If the dimensions of the Bolt EUV match those of the Buick Velite 7, that means that the Buick EUV will also be about 4.25 meters long. A bit bigger than the regular model.

We will know more next month. Incidentally, do not expect the arrival of the amended Bolt and the introduction of the Bolt EUV to have any significant role in Europe. Now that Opel is fully integrated into the Stellantis Groupe PSA, the ties between Opel and General Motors have been severed to such an extent that new GM products no longer find their way to Opel dealers.
