In iOS 14, the Camera app was tackled a lot: according to Apple, the app has become 90% faster and also starts 25% faster. The ability to mirror selfies was also introduced.

According to PhoneArena, you get even more options in iOS 15 to determine your default apps yourself.

The tech website also foresees that widgets will have more interactive functions, similar to the way widgets work in Android. Think of playing music via a widget or checking off chores on your to-do list.

It would also be possible to adjust the size of widgets, for example making important widgets larger and more present than simple widgets that only show the time.

Drag a widget from the widget bar to a home screen.
Will the widgets be further addressed in iOS 15?

Always-on display

According to the latest rumors, the iPhone 13 will get an always-on display, just like the Apple Watch. The screen of your phone will always remain on, provided you choose this of course. If this function actually comes, it is obvious that iOS 15 will respond to it, for example by showing notifications in a different way when your phone is locked, according to PhoneArena.

Furthermore, it appears that iOS 15 will be available for the iPhone 7 or later. Not a big surprise, given that the older iPhone 6 models are now more than five years old and still have the A9 chip built in. To be able to run iOS 15, an A10 chip is probably needed, which can be found in Apple’s smartphone since the iPhone 7.

Launch

Finally, it seems obvious that the final version of the operating system will be released in September, just like in previous years (with the exception of corona year 2020), along with a new iPhone. A first version of the operating system can be presented by Apple in June during the World Wide Developers Conference.
