A new basic version was recently added to the delivery range of the still very new Citroën C4. Now the electric Citroën ë-C4 is also cheaper thanks to the addition of a simpler version.
As with the C4 with fuel engine, the entry-level version of the electric Citroën ë-C4 is called ‘Live’. Citroën is thanked, because now our episode of ‘Back to Basics’ with this French EV is immediately obsolete. The starting price drops from € 38,190 to € 36,090, a difference of € 2,100.
Of course you give up something for that. Compared to the Feel, the previously cheapest version, fog, the Live LED headlights, a leather-covered steering wheel, two speakers, a height-adjustable passenger seat, fog lights and some nice design accents.
The car also has 16-inch steel wheels instead of 18-inch alloy wheels. The main lack is not visible, however: the chassis of the Live does without the ‘Progressive Hydraulic Cushions’ that should push the suspension comfort to a Citroën-worthy level.
Still, it is not entirely make do with the Citroën ë-C4 Live. The car still offers cruise control, a number of safety systems, a digital instrumentation, a 10-inch touchscreen and climate control.
