Love is in the air and the Pokémon are aware of that too. That’s why you’ll be getting bonuses during the Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day event for the next week.

It’s time to put Fire Emblem Heroes aside for a while, because your Pokémon are demanding attention again. The Pokémon GO Valentine’s Day event has started. This means that you get bonuses in the game for a week. From extra candy to more pink Pokeḿon.
From now on you can collect twice as many candies for all actions where you get candy. This is comparable to the extra candy you got during the Halloween event. It means you get double candy when hatching an egg, catching a Pokémon, and sending a Pokémon to Professor Willow. But most importantly, of course, your Buddy also yields twice as much candy while walking. Walking with a Buddy is the only way to evolve truly rare Pokémon, so make sure to take advantage of it for the next week.
Another bonus in the coming week is that Lure Modules will run for a whopping six hours. This is of course intended to color the world in Pokémon Go extra pink. To add even more pink, there will also be more pink Pokémon in the next week. Think of Chansey, Clefable and Jigglypuf. In addition, you are also more likely to have pink baby Pokémon Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum hatch from an egg. The bonuses will stop again on February 15th. We will probably have to wait until Easter for the next event.
