Apple Intelligence
The introduction of Apple Intelligence was the most important announcement of the WWDC 2024. Almost all applications on the iPhone, iPad and Mac are expanded with new functions, including a handy writing aid that can summarize and rewrite texts. With Apple Intelligence you can also create images, put together Genmoji and edit photos. In the meantime, the WWDC 2025 has been and we still cannot use Apple Intelligence in Dutch.
Apple Intelligence is available in just a limited number of languages, including English, Italian, German, French and Chinese. Dutch is still missing in this list for the time being, but that will change later this year. Apple has announced that Apple Intelligence will be available in more languages at the end of 2025, including Dutch. In addition, the Apple Intelligence company rolls out in Danish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish, Turkish, Chinese and Vietnamese.
At the end of 2025
With the WWDC 2025, Apple has confirmed that Apple Intelligence will be available in Dutch at the end of this year. The company has not mentioned a release date, but it is expected that all new functions will be rolled out with a later update of iOS 26. This probably happens with iOS 26.2, because that software version only appears at the end of the year. That gives Apple enough time to translate all the features into Dutch.
Apple releases updates every year around the same data, so we know when iOS 26.2 appears. Apple released iOS 18.2 on December 11, 2024, iOS 17.2 also came a year earlier on December 11 and iOS 16.2 was available on December 13, 2022. We can probably expect iOS 26.2 in the second week of December. That means your Apple Intelligence round December 15, 2025 can finally use in Dutch.
Release of Apple Intelligence
Apple still has to release the first version of iOS 26. The test versions are already available for developers, but the final update will only be available in September. Apple rolls out the largest software update of the year after the release of the iPhone 17 series. With later updates from iOS 26, Apple introduces more functions for the iPhone, which are not yet available in September. One of those features is therefore the Dutch version of Apple Intelligence.
With iOS 26, many more functions come to your iPhone. The operating system gets a completely new interface in iOS 26, making the home screen of your iPhone look completely different.
