Elektron Motors comes with an electric extremist

Connect a pair of extraordinarily powerful electric motors to a battery pack, fold a fierce-looking carriage around it and voilĂ : a new hypercar is born. That seems to be the recipe of the German-based Elektron Motors.

Elektron Motors is a company that was founded last year as Elektron Innovativ in Germany that should eventually release an electric hypercar. That One called extremist should deliver 1,360 hp thanks to four electric motors. Elektron Innovativ is now called Elektron Motors and seems to have referred the One (photo 8 and 9) to the distant future. The company now has a set of design sketches ready for another hypercar: the Quasar.

Elektron Motors Quasar and One

Elektron Motors One

On paper, the Quasar is even more intense than the One. Not only does the Elektron Quasar look like it prefers to devour its spectator with skin and hair, its drivetrain is over the top to say the least. The Quasar, which for the time being only exists in the form of a few design sketches, will according to its creators four electric motors that together are good for – yes – 2,300 hp. The monster should be able to sprint to 100 km / h in less than 1.7 counts. The top speed is 450 km / h. According to Elektron, the Quasar should be able to complete a lap on the NĂĽrburgring-Nordschleife in just 5 minutes and 10 seconds. By way of comparison: the non-road legal Volkswagen ID.R completed a ’round Ring’ in 6:05; 336 and the fierce, also non-street-legal Porsche 919 Hybrid Evo, completed a lap on the 20-kilometer circuit in 5: 19; 546 .

The Quasar should be ready in the first quarter of 2023. According to the company, 99 units will become available, each of which will cost more than € 2 million. Another castle in the air seems to have been born, or does this have potential? After the Quasar, the One has yet to come onto the market.
