With a standard keyboard you actually adopt an unnatural position. Your wrists are inward and this puts some more tension on the shoulders. Those who do not have to write for hours every day will not quickly get complaints, but the people who work with it all day long may eventually experience complaints. The wireless Logitech ERGO K860 is a good start for those who want to prevent or reduce complaints.

It Logitech ERGO K860 keyboard is a so-called split keyboard with a curved design. The idea behind this design is that the user adopts a more natural posture and thus reduces the stress on the wrists and shoulders. For example, Logitech itself indicates that research has shown that the activity of the upper aconite muscle is reduced by 21 percent. Under the keyboard you will find feet to tilt, not on the top, but the bottom where your wrists rest. This is for people who work at a sit-stand desk. The feet can be folded out while working in a standing position, which ensures a better working posture.
During the test we experience a noticeable difference after some getting used to. The design invites you to slide the keyboard a bit more towards you, so that your wrists rest a bit more on the cushions. This automatically assumes a more upright posture, which in turn reduces stress on the shoulders.
Wrist rest
The wrist rest is constructed from various materials including memory foam finished with a thick woven fabric and a stain resistant smooth coating that should be easy to clean. Although the palm rest is integrated into the keyboard, it was quite easy to remove with a few screws on the bottom. It would be a good move for Logitech if these wrist rests were eventually also offered separately, especially with a view to sustainability and the environment.
Functionality
The keys of the K860 keyboard are low profile and comparable to many notebook computers. The keyboard can be paired with three different devices and is easy, with one press of one of the Easy-Switch keys to switch from one device to another. This is especially nice if you have a tablet or smartphone on your desk next to your computer. Additional media functions are hidden under the function keys and are activated by pressing them together with the fn key.
Conclusion
The Logitech ERGO K860 keyboard is a very pleasant keyboard during writing work. Thanks to the design, you automatically adopt a better sitting position and the pressure on the shoulders and back is noticeably reduced. The feature with which you can easily switch between your computer, laptop, tablet and / or smartphone is very much appreciated. We do hope that Logitech will offer the possibility to replace the pillow itself.
