The new week is just around the corner, but before that, let’s take a look back at the last seven days. The editors of iPhoned has rounded up the best iOS apps, games and updates from last week.
Last week’s 5 best iOS apps
The App Store is working overtime every week. New apps, updates for existing programs and games are added all the time. You probably don’t notice this much, because most of it is not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separate the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. Here are this week’s best iOS apps, updates, and games.
1. Advertising brochure
With the Advertising Folder app you stay informed of all sales. In the overview you will immediately see the latest folders that are available. At the top you have a search function, so you can quickly search for a specific store. If you tap on ‘Show all’ you can distinguish folders from supermarkets, drugstores and so on.
Two very useful functions in this app are the list and the loyalty cards. If you see a nice offer in a folder, click on it and choose ‘save to list’. This way, all the offers you plan to buy will appear in the ‘Lists’ tab. So you immediately have an overview of what you wanted to purchase. You can also save your physical loyalty cards in the app. When checking out, open the app and have the card scanned from your smartphone. So you never have to walk around with a fat wallet again!
2. Blink
Do you often suffer from tired eyes? The Blink app helps you train your vision. With different exercises, your eyes become stronger and can better withstand tension. By using the TrueDepth camera, the app keeps track of your eye movements.
The TrueDepth camera works very smoothly in this app. For example, you will be instructed to look left or right or blink. That works very quickly once you do it. Also, sometimes you have to close your eyes for six seconds. By means of short vibrations, the iPhone counts with you, so that you know when to open your eyes again.
3. Carica
With this cool app you paste your own face in your favorite gif. You take a selfie and then choose a nice gif. You stick your face on it and the gif is generated. You can choose from the gifs in the app, or you can add your own gifs by choosing from the gallery.
Unfortunately it is not (yet) possible to use your own photo from the gallery to paste as a face on a gif. So you can’t choose someone else’s face, unless you take a photo of someone else directly in the app. The gifs you create will be placed in the library and can be easily shared.
4. Vectornator X
Looking for an app where you can lose your creative egg? Vectornator X is a graphic design program that allows you to create the most beautiful images. The app is very intuitive and you can create beautiful designs in no time. There are different types of pens and brushes that you can use and this app is also the right place for typography.
Vectornator X is vastly expanded with all the colors you can imagine and the use of different layers and shapes. The app obviously works great with the Apple Pencil. The app is so extensive that you almost wonder why the app is free. Fun leisure activity for the Christmas holidays!
5. Unleash the Light
Unleash the Light was added to Apple Arcade this week. The RPG game is based on the TV show Steven Universe. Play as one of the program’s six characters and unlock new skills and outfits.
The false prism gems have been activated. You must assemble your own team of Gems, which you will take on an adventure across the galaxy to take out the bad guys.
