Nissan has a very biting-looking version of the renewed Navara in the development rooms. The new aggressive-looking version will soon be called Navara Pro-4X Warrior and will soon function as the absolute top version of the Navara range.
The European future of the Nissan Navara hangs by a thread. Nissan’s competitor to cars like the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux is being built in Spain for the European market, but the Barcelona-based factory where the pickup sees the light is closing its gates at the end of this year. Nissan says it is still investigating whether it can keep the Navara alive in Europe, as the car is built in Thailand, among other places. Should the Navara actually disappear from the European market, that loss will only increase if you know which top Navara will soon be endowed with the Australian market.
The Australian branch of Nissan has shown the first photos of the Navara Pro-4X Warrior, a fierce superlative of the Pro 4X version of the Navara, which was facelifted last year and never appeared in the Netherlands in that form. The Navara Pro-4X with the Warrior addition was developed in collaboration with the Australian company Premcar, but will soon be supplied by Nissan Australia.
Detailed technical specifications are not yet available, although Nissan does promise that the Pro-4X Warrior will be the roughest and most capable Navara variant ever. From the outside, the car distinguishes itself from the already known Pro-4X version with its exuberant bumper work and its greater ground clearance. The Warrior version looks like it’s not afraid of cars like Ford’s Ranger Raptor, although we don’t know exactly what will power the Pro-4X Warrior yet. Unfortunately, that makes little difference to the Dutch market, unfortunately it will not be displayed in our Nissan showrooms.
